Complete Music for Weddings, Parties and Corporate Events
FAQ

Good Question...

What is the size of the band?

The size of the band is up to you.  For most events we recommend a 4-piece band (guitar, keys, bass, and drums).  This gives the band plenty of flexibility to be able to cover all genres and provides a very full sound for dances.  For events on a small budget or in small rooms we can play with 3 players and make that sound great too.  If the budget allows we can also add a 5th player on stage, usually we add a trumpet, sax, or extra keyboard player.

Do you provide music during the ceremony and cocktail hour?

Yes, Toronto Party Band has packages that can meet all of your music needs for your event.  At the time of booking we will discuss the different options based on the package you select.

Our wedding in not in Toronto. Do you travel?

Yes, Toronto Party Band has played weddings and corporate events across the province and we are happy to play destination weddings.  We will travel to any location between Kitchener, Toronto, and St. Catharines for free. For anything outside of that area we include a nominal fee to offset our travel expenses.

Do we need to plan your set list for you?

People have a wide variety of tastes when it comes to music, so we would recommend you do not plan every song of the night.  Flexibility is key.  From years of playing weddings and other corporate events we have become skilled at responding to the different musical needs of the guests.  That being said, this is YOUR wedding and we will work with you to figure out your musical preferences.  We give all our clients a song list so they can highlight forty of their favourite songs.  We guarantee that you will hear at least ten of those songs and probably more.

The first dance song we want is not on your list.  Will you learn it and play it for us?

Yes, if we do not already know your first dance, we would be willing to learn it for you.  We just ask that we be given thirty days advance notice along with an mp3 if the song is not easy to find.

How will you be dressed?

Our band and sound technician arrive to the event site dressed neatly as we set up our equipment quickly and quietly well before any guests arrive.  For wedding receptions or formal events we  come dressed in our clean black suits, white shirts, and black ties.  If you are hoping for something more formal or informal just let us know.

When will you arrive?

If your package includes our professional sound technician he will arrive four hours before your first guest arrives.  If we are running our own sound system we will arrive two hours before your first guest arrives, so that by the time they walk in the music has already started.

How much does it cost to hire Toronto Party Band?

Each situation is completely unique with many variables, please fill out our contact form and we will get a quote back to you ASAP.

We're worried about the music being too loud...

From our years of experience playing weddings and corporate events we have a good idea of appropriate volume levels.  We promise the volume will be perfect!  If at any point during the event you would like us to adjust our level all you need to do is let us know, this is your party.

Can you make announcements for us during the dance?

Of course, we see ourselves as the host of this part of the evening and would love to help.  We often introduce the special dances, garter/bouquet tosses, announce last call, and anything else we can do to help the evening run smoothly.

Have you played at our venue before?

At the bottom of our references page we have a list of some of the venues we have played in the past.  If you don't see your venue that's not a problem we play new venues all the time and make sure to arrive early enough in the day to connect with the staff and make sure everything is perfect by the time you arrive.
